Real world successes

Marriott Bonvoy

Lorainne Mitchell

We had our network cabling replaced throughout our 331 room hotel and I can only say good things about 2580 Group.
Their team members that were on site for almost four months with us acted professionally and did not interrupt our operation at all.
They work in a very tidy, well organised manner and along with our project manager resolved any issues that came up along the way.
All we can say is that we would have them back in the business any time in the future and if you are looking for a great company to use, they are the ones!
Many thanks 2580 Group!

Our reputation

Copper cabling

Warehouse
Cat5e remains a practical choice for many of our projects in the North East. Cat6 offers higher performance and frequency, while Cat6a adds more headroom for longer 10Gb links, such as in warehouses or larger buildings. Cat7 is usually specified only for more specialist requirements. Our recommendation will depend on bandwidth, run length, equipment and future upgrade plans.

Fibre optic cabling

Warehouse

Fibre optic cabling offers higher bandwidth, covers longer distances and provides better resistance to interference than copper can offer. It is especially useful for risers, multi-floor buildings, separate cabinets and links between buildings.

As a general rule, fibre is best for cabinet-to-cabinet backbone connections.

How does data network installation work?

Warehouse
A structured cabling system connects your comms cabinet to desks, devices, wireless access points and other end points through organised cable runs, patch panels and switches. Instead of adding one-off cables as needs change, structured cabling gives you a clear, standards-based layout that is easier to maintain, easier to expand and more dependable for daily business use. A solid data network should support current hardware and gives you room to grow without constant rework.

    FAQ

What cable type do we need, Cat6, Cat6a or fibre optic?

Cat6 suits many business networks. Cat6a is better for longer 10Gb runs and denser environments. Fibre optic is usually best for backbone links, separate buildings and very high bandwidth. The right option depends on distance, equipment, budget and future growth, so a site survey is the best starting point.

How long will installation take and can you work without disrupting our business?

That depends on the number of data points, route complexity and access. Smaller projects may take a day or two, while larger fit-outs take longer. Work can be phased and scheduled around your operations, including out-of-hours work where needed, to reduce disruption.

Do you work in domestic properties?

Yes, we’re happy to also provides residential data network installation for developments as well as home offices, media rooms and home network upgrades.

How much does data cabling installation cost?

Cost depends on cable type, point numbers, route difficulty, access, cabinet work, containment and testing requirements. Every project starts with a free site survey and consultation, followed by a clear, itemised quote tailored to your building and requirements.

Do you provide test results and certification on completion?

Testing, certification and documentation are included so you have clear proof of performance and compliance at handover.

Do you offer ongoing maintenance and what happens if something goes wrong?

Ongoing support is available for fault-finding, changes, tidying, upgrades and maintenance. If an issue occurs, the first step is to diagnose the fault, confirm the scope and arrange the quickest practical fix with minimal disruption.
